(External) Internal Domain Transfers

In this article we go over questions you may have regarding taking ownership of your domain purchased through ClickFunnels.

At some point you may want to take ownership of your domain. Here are some frequently asked questions we get that may help answer your questions! 

  • Can we transfer to go daddy or another host? Due to the arrangement ClickFunnels already has in place with DNSimple, we are only able to transfer your domain to DNSimple and from there you can transfer it to any other platform. 
  • Can we transfer our domain from one ClickFunnels account to another ClickFunnels account? We do not transfer domains from one account to another. If you would like to transfer your domain purchased from ClickFunnels to a different ClickFunnels account, you will need to take ownership of that domain name first which would mean transferring your domain outside of ClickFunnels to DNSimple. You can then proceed to add the domain to the correct account as an External domain.
  • Can I transfer my domain to another host immediately after transferring to DNSimple? Due to ICANN regulations you will need to wait the 60 day holding period before transferring your domain to a different hosting platform.   • Do I have to pay $6 every month to DNSimple to host my domain? DNSimple does offer 30 days for free, after the 30 days you will need to pay the DNSimple subscription for $6 as long as your domain is within DNSimple. After the 60 days you can transfer the domain to any other host.
