Removing An External Domain From ClickFunnels
Removing an external domain from ClickFunnels will be helpful if you no longer want to use your domain name in your account/funnels and plan to use it on another site. This article will go over the process of removing an external domain from your ClickFunnels account.
Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:
- Integrating Your Domain Into ClickFunnels
- Access to your domain registrar’s CNAME records
Step 1: Removing An External Domain From Your ClickFunnels Account:
Removing your domain from your account will allow you to use it on another site outside of ClickFunnels. Please keep in mind that you can’t use the same domain on two different sites. If you have a domain connected to ClickFunnels, you will need to remove it before using it outside of our platform.
The process for removing a domain purchased through ClickFunnels is different. If you’re looking for more information on this, check this tutorial here: Domain Transfer.
1. Starting from the ClickFunnels dashboard navigate to Account Settings
2. From the Account Settings navigate to Domains.
3. Click on the domain name to access your domain settings, or, you can also click on the 3 vertical dots to the right and click on Edit to access your domain settings.
4. Scroll down and locate Remove Domain. Click on Expand.
5. Click on the Yes, delete this domain button.
6. A success notification will show up in the top right corner informing you that the domain has been removed from your account.
